Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Matchi website and the purchase of products from us. By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "Matchi" refer to the operator of this website, and "you" refers to the customer placing an order.

1. About us

Matchi supplies ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha on a wholesale basis to trade customers in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@matchi.info or on 0203 488 7459.

2. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy products from us. A binding contract is formed only once we confirm acceptance of your order, for example by email or by dispatching the goods. We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, including where stock is unavailable or where we identify a pricing or description error.

3. Products

Matcha is a natural agricultural product. Some variation in colour, flavour, aroma and appearance may occur between batches due to growing conditions and seasonal factors. Product images are for illustration. A technical specification and certificate of conformance are available on request for each batch.

4. Pricing and payment

5. Subscriptions

If you choose a subscription, your selected products will be supplied and charged at the frequency you select. You can change the delivery frequency, pause or cancel at any time through the customer portal linked in your confirmation emails, or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect for future deliveries that have not yet been processed.

6. Delivery

Delivery timescales, costs and arrangements are set out in our Delivery & Returns policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Returns and food safety

As a perishable food product, matcha is supplied in sealed pouches and cannot be returned once opened for reasons of food safety and hygiene, except where the product is faulty, damaged or not as described. Please see our Delivery & Returns policy for how to report an issue.

8. Storage and use

Products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and used in accordance with any guidance on the packaging or specification. Matcha contains caffeine and is not recommended for children, or for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or sensitive to caffeine.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. As these are business-to-business sales, certain consumer rights do not apply.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, logos, graphics and photographs, is owned by us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. All original logos, photographs and brands featured remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Contact
